This photo was taken at sunrise at the famous Halona Cove or as many people know it as Eternity Beach. This landmark is right next to the Halona Blowhole and Koko Head Crater on the South Eastern Part of the Island of Oahu.
This location was made famous for is being setting where Burt Lancaster kissed Deborah Kerr while laying on the beach and the waves splashing on them. The scene was a short, but it was memorable and is one of the most famous Love scenes in movie history. The film also won Eight Academy Awards including those for Best Picture and Best Director. The beach is also known by the locals as cockroach cove, but that name is hardly inviting or romantic so most people stick with Eternity Beach or Halona Cove.
