Artist's Description
This photo was taken in the Spring just after the big wave season where everyone heads to the North Shore of Oahu that wants to surf or watch the surfing during the best time of the year.
The big wave season Starts December 1st and ends on February 28th. If you visit the North Shore of Oahu making a pit stop at Haleiwa is a must. There are a lot of great places to eat as well as art gallery's and of course places to buy surf boards and get surfing lessons. This little strip of the North Shore is kind of like going back in time.
There is a saying on Oahu "Keep the country COUNTRY" basically this means more or less that what the North Shore looked like 30 years ago will look basically the same for the next 100 years. Lets hope this part of the island does just that. Thanks for visiting and hope you get a chance to see this island for yourself and enjoy your time here.
