Artist's Description
This photo was taken at the Ho Omaluhia Botanical Garden at the Waokele Pond on a beautiful sunny day. The last time I saw the same conditions on the island of Oahu was over a year ago. For those that are not familiar with the Island of Oahu this is an incredibly rare thing to have such a clear sky on this part of the island. It is hard to believe, but just a few hours later the entire island was covered in clouds again just like the first time I shot there on a clear day.
If you want to get an idea of how cloudy the "Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden" or the "Ko'olau Mountain Range" is normally just google them on images and see how many photos are almost completely covered in clouds. This kind of sky happens on a few times a year and even when the conditions are right they may only last for a few hours, like on this day.
